"I had homeowners insurance with this location. I recieved a call and email from Emily that an inspection technician took pics of my roof and had some concerns. She admitted that she saw the pictures, didn't see anything wrong but she would ask corporate for more details and clarity. In the meantime I forwarded my comprehensive inspection I had performed on the house and the reports listed the roof in complete and average condition to Emily and Chris. I also had a contractor look at the roof stand said the roof is on okay condition and there is no reasons for concern and it is safe. I had 2 professionals stating roof is okay but state farms inspector who showed up in basketball shorts, a graphic tee, and no identifying factors or badge to show he had business in my back yard taking pictures thinks it is concerning. Chris jumped into the chain of emails and wanted to let me know he also saw no issues with the roof condition in my pictures or the inspectors but his hands are tied with what the corporate office says. He stated I may need to hire a roofing contractor to prove it is okay. I told him I would not be footing the bill for that and he said that is your choice. He also said he would update me on the status but I didn't hear from Emily or Chris ever again. I received a letter in the mail stating our coverage would be dropped dude to roof condition. I am now happily with another insurance provider"
"Unfortunately, here in our small local businesses we don't have much control over final decisions made by our corporate underwriting partners. We do everything we can to accommodate all of our current and prospective clients but sometimes it is simply out of our control at the agency level. "I purchased auto insurance from this branch of State Farm in December for a 6 month period; they gave me a quote for the 6 months, sent me a bill as part of a "binder" (binding contract, at least for me, apparently), I paid the total amount for the 6 months in full, and received a statement with a $0 balance. Then, a month later, I was surprised and dismayed to receive yet another bill!- apparently, although it was a binding contract for me, this company is allowed to just decide to change the terms of our contract and charge me more money AFTER we have made an agreement, I have paid the full balance, and I have been given a zero balance on a billing statement. Here's the fun part: I chose to go with State Farm because, when comparing their rates with Progressive and Geico, the quote they initially gave me was lower. So, AFTER I had already selected State Farm and paid my bill, they decided they wanted more money and went ahead and charged me. The grand irony is that on the bill that I paid in full, it reads: "It is a crime to knowingly provide false, incomplete or misleading information to an insurance company for the purposes of defrauding the company. Penalties may include imprisonment, fines, or a denial of insurance benefits." Now I ask you: how is it not false, incomplete, and/or misleading for the company to give me a supposedly full quote, entice me to sign with their company at that price, accept my money, send me a statement with a zero balance, and THEN send me another bill demanding more money? Why are individual people held to different standards than companies? Granted, this seems to be the norm these days with most big companies, but this situation was particularly egregious. When I called to speak with this branch (several times), I was repeatedly given the same, tedious "we are but cogs in a machine" excuse, whereby they accepted ZERO accountability for anything, only saying that corporate/some other branch of the company made these decisions and they could do nothing to honor the terms of our agreement. I suppose this is just how things work now! As an editor by trade, perhaps I should now send bills to all my previous clients letting them know that I've decided I want more money for my services-- despite the fact that we had a signed contract and they paid in full some time ago. Wonder how that would work out for me?? Thank god corporations are now respected and treated as "people" too. TL;DR: This company is profoundly hypocritical and untrustworthy (shocking for an insurance company, I know), and this branch office takes no responsibility for any agreements they draw up and do not honor the terms of those agreements. Buyer beware."

"We have been using Statefarm for years now, and specifically Chris Doughty that entire time. Chris and their employees have been absolutely amazing and they have gotten to know us over the years and make it a joy to work with them and chat when we give them a call. We have insured many vehicles over the past, wow time flies, more than a decade working with them, old cars, new cars and even a couple JDM imports. We do all our insurance through state farm and I recommend them and Chris Doughty any time someone asks. We have had to make a claim a couple times and it was painless and they got repairs taken care of efficiently and the repairs afterward were awesome. One of them was a parking lot hit and run too and it would have been a $3000 bummer Repair but only cost us the deductible and that was it. The support when the branch office is closed is fantastic as well and we have never been disappointed, add a car at like 7 at Night at the dealership?? No problem! They had us covered.. on a couple occasions, lol. Overall excellent customer service and experience and the reason we haven't even shopped around, even if it might cost a little more, it's worth it for the great customer interaction and support."
